may is mental health awareness month

I believe in the power of our stories and the healing that is exchanged when we can listen and/or say me too. For the month of May I will be featuring the stories of my neighbors in the Proviso district, specifically Maywood, Bellwood, Melrose Park, and more.

My hope is to begin to shed light on the realities of mental health in our communities in hopes of helping others to know they aren’t alone.
